Jeanine represents employers in all areas of employment and benefits law, including wage and hour claims, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, benefit plan corrections and other employment-related claims.

Jeanine assists clients in creating and implementing workplace policies and procedures, conducting harassment investigations, and counseling on employee performance management, including corrective actions and terminations. Jeanine often presents customized, on-site training programs for clients on a variety of human resources issues.

Please join the Labor & Employment Section on Thursday, May 23, 2019, for a presentation on Effective and Ethical Negotiation of Employment Claims: Navigating New Rules Regarding Confidentiality, Mediation, Taxes and More with David Lowe, Partner at Rudy Exelrod Zieff & Lowe LLP.

Mr. Lowe specializes in international employment cases, complex litigation, and executive severance negotiations, as well as litigation and negotiation of individual employment law claims, including claims for wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, unpaid commissions and bonuses, breach of contract and violation of the WARN Act, military leave, family/medical leave and wage and hour laws.

In addition to representing employees, Mr. Lowe is frequently retained as a neutral mediator to help other lawyers and their clients resolve difficult employment disputes.  In that role, he has helped settle multi-million dollar class actions, individual employment cases, and litigation involving a wide variety of issues, including insurance coverage issues.  Mr. Lowe received his mediation training at the highly regarded Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law and “on-the-job” with his colleague Mark Rudy, with whom he has mediated numerous complex individual and class action cases.

Please join the Labor & Employment Section on Thursday, March 28, 2019, for a presentation on Avoiding Malpractice Claims – A Primer for Both New and Seasoned Attorneys by Jason E. Fellner, Shareholder at Murphy Pearson Bradley & Feeney.

Even meritless claims can burden you and your firm with financial and emotional costs. This presentation will highlight common mistakes even the best-intentioned lawyers make that often result in malpractice claims, and provide steps to take to avoid these pitfalls.​

Mr. Fellner is a trial lawyer who represents individual and corporate clients throughout California and Washington with a focus in professional liability defense, insurance, and civil litigation. Mr. Fellner has successfully represented clients in all phases of dispute resolution from pre-litigation mediation and arbitration all the way through trial. He also serves as general counsel to companies. A hallmark of his practice Mr. Fellner works collaboratively with his clients in providing them with recommendations on how best to address the legal, financial, and the emotional aspects of each case. He is recognized by the California State Bar as a Certified Specialist in Legal Malpractice Law and is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He speaks regularly and often to lawyers on legal ethics and routinely represents parties in attorney fee dispute matters.
