Law Day 2025

The Community Affairs Committee invites you to attend this year's in-person Law Day on Friday, April 25 | 11:30 AM-1:15 PM to celebrate the Mock Trial Competition students and teacher advisors. The Law Day event will have a fantastic panel of speakers and the Mock Trial Awards will be presented by the Presiding Judge Stephanie Garratt and the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association will also present the Scholarship Program to three well-deserving students.
We encourage our members to sponsor the event by "Sponsoring A Team!" Sponsorships allow students from all schools to attend free of charge—and your support will make a real difference. Sponsors confirmed by April 18 will be featured in our event program, signage, and will receive a special thank-you from our Master of Ceremonies during the event.
Law Day is a national day set aside to celebrate the rule of law. Law Day is an annual commemoration to celebrate the rule of law and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal system. The 2025 Law Day theme “The Constitution's Promise: Out of Many, One.” The Preamble to the Constitution boldly asserts that the Framers established the Constitution as representatives of “We the People, in Order to Form a More Perfect Union” On this Law Day, we explore and renew our duties to one another under the Constitution and our democratic norms.
Presentation of Mock Trial Awards
The high school students and teacher-advisors who participated in this year’s Mock Trial Competition will be honored guests.
San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association Scholarship Program Presentation
Each year, the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association presents scholarship awards to three high school seniors who wish to pursue a career in the law or criminal justice careers at this event. The San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of justice, preservation of the jury system, and the protection of the rights of the consumers and injury victims.

For in person cancellations, the cancellation must be received ONE WEEK BEFORE the event. If you do not cancel within one week prior to the event or do not show up to the event, you will be charged the full amount.
