The mission of the San Mateo County Law Library is to provide access to legal materials to all persons interested in the law. To meet this end, the Law Library is a resource library open to the Judiciary, members of the State Bar of California, and all residents of the County of San Mateo and the State of California, for the purpose of legal research and legal information.

California Courts Home Page

Provides extensive information about the Judicial Branch of California, including the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeal, Trial Courts and Judges Roster, the Judicial Council and its rules and forms, court opinions, minutes and calendars, links to all County Local Rules, and much more.

 

Judicial Council Forms

Judicial Council forms are provided as Adobe Acrobat documents (PDF) that you can print on any computer for which an Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or newer is available. Some forms may be completed electronically.

 

California State Assembly

Provides information about legislation, districts, member and committee directories, the legislative calendar, the democratic, republican, black and latino caucuses, the task force on government oversight and much more.

 

Bill Information

Daily Updates of Assembly and Senate Bills and searchable index which provides the full text of bills, resolutions, and constitutional amendments, including their status, history, votes, analyses, and veto messages.

 

California Code of Regulations

This California Code of Regulations (CCR) website contains the text of the regulations that have been formally adopted by state agencies, reviewed and approved by the Office of Administrative Law, and filed with the Secretary of State.

 

California Department of Social Services

Links to services and information for people with disabilities, reporting child/adult abuse, licensing for day care and residential care facilities, social security/SSI benefits, forms, etc.
